If your site depends on them, you can't plan Joomla 6 around a release date nobody has given. We test your site on Joomla 6 and fix what breaks.
Each StackIdeas extension, its apps and plugins updated to the newest release you have access to.
Your whole site on a staging copy with Joomla 6 and PHP 8.3 – errors logged, fixed and tested page by page.
Fixes live in overrides and plugins where possible. Anything that has to change inside an extension is written down, so it can be reapplied after the next StackIdeas update.
You get the findings as a written report with a fixed quote.
EasySocial, EasyBlog, EasyDiscuss, Komento and PayPlans – and their apps and plugins – brought to the latest release.
Errors you see today, and the ones the logs show: PHP 8 notices, database errors, scripts that clash with your template.
Removed Joomla APIs, the event system and PHP 8.3 – fixed in overrides and plugins first.
Every override checked against the current theme files and rebuilt where it misses new fields or scripts.
Profiles, the stream, blog, forum and checkout pages built to match your template – or designed new.
Users, posts, comments, points, subscriptions and invoices compared before and after every step.
Your live site keeps running until the switch.
Joomla, PHP, every StackIdeas extension with its apps and plugins, and your theme overrides.
A full backup and a staging copy on the target PHP and database.
Extensions updated, bugs fixed, Joomla 6 errors fixed on staging.
Overrides checked and rebuilt; new layouts built if they are part of the job.
Your test list on staging, then the switch with a final sync of new users and posts.
Every change made inside an extension, written down for the next StackIdeas update.
Problems we fixed on StackIdeas sites. Your audit lists what applies to yours.
| Extension | What we saw | What we did |
|---|---|---|
| EasyBlog | “Unable to store post” on a client site: on MySQL 8 strict mode some EasyBlog columns have no default value, so saving a post fails. | Defaults added to those columns; the other EasyBlog tables with the same pattern checked. |
| EasyDiscuss | Moving a large Kunena forum: the migration tool needed fixes and customisation. | Tool fixed; Kunena sub-categories became EasyDiscuss tags. Orthogate case study → |
| PayPlans | The default checkout looks like PayPlans, not like the site that sells. | A two-column checkout built with template overrides – the one on this site, on Joomla 6.2. |
| EasySocial · Komento | Every site runs different apps, plugins and overrides. | The audit lists what breaks on your site – nothing is guessed. |
Much of our work comes from other developers: agencies with client sites on Joomla, and teams who know their site but want senior Joomla hands for the hard part.
We work under your name, in your repository and your ticket system.
Hand us only the hard part and keep the rest.
One team for the whole job, explained without jargon.

As of October 2026 the EasySocial and EasyBlog pages on stackideas.com list Joomla 3.x and 4.x, and the StackIdeas blog has no Joomla 6 announcement. We don't wait for one: we run your site on Joomla 6 on a staging copy and fix what breaks.
Overrides and plugins stay in place. Anything changed inside an extension goes on the patch list we hand over, so it can be reapplied after an update. If you want us to do that for you, see maintenance & support.
To install a newer release you need access to it from StackIdeas. If you only have an older version, we work with that one and fix it on top.
No. Everything happens on a staging copy. Your live site keeps running until your test list passes on staging.
Yes. We check and rebuild your existing overrides, or build new layouts for profiles, the stream, blog and forum pages that match your template. For a new look across the whole site, see template customization.
