Back up with Akeeba Backup, upload the backup and Kickstart to the new host, and restore. It moves files and database and updates the settings for you.

Update to Joomla 3.10, check your template and extensions have newer versions, then upgrade step by step: 3.10 → 4.4 → 5.4 → 6. For heavily customised sites, a fresh build is often faster.

Security - How do I move my site to a new domain?
Same as moving hosts: back up and restore with Akeeba. Then set up redirects from the old domain so visitors and Google follow.

Move all files up one level, then fix the folder paths in configuration.php and RewriteBase in .htaccess. Akeeba Backup can do this for you.
