How do I show a module inside an article?

JoomlaContent, menus & templates Updated 17 Oct 2026

Type {loadmoduleid 23} in the article (23 = the module ID), or {loadposition name} to show every module in that position.

How it works

The Content - Load Modules plugin replaces short codes in your article with modules. It is enabled by default; if the codes show up as plain text, the plugin is off.

The three codes

  • {loadmoduleid 23} shows the module with ID 23 (find the ID in Content → Site Modules).
  • {loadposition myposition} shows every module published in the position myposition.
  • {loadmodule mod_login,Login} shows the first module of that type, or the one with that title.

Step by step with loadposition

  1. Create the module and type a new position name, all lowercase (for example article-form).
  2. Set its Menu Assignment to On all pages: it only appears where an article loads it.
  3. In the article, type {loadposition article-form} where it should appear, or use the editor's Module button.

Good to know

  • Add a module style as a second value, for example {loadposition article-form,card}.
